Congratulations! You have made a fabulous choice booking an equestrian holiday in Ireland, and we can’t wait to meet you! Get ready for an adventure that combines the thrill of riding with the serene beauty of the Emerald Isle. But first things first—let’s make sure you’re packed and ready to gallop into this magical experience with everything you need!
This ultimate pack list has been thoughtfully curated by both the BEI team, and our previous guests with insider tips to help you make the most of your vacation, both on the horse, and off!
The Ultimate Pack List
The riding essentials:
- Your helmet (not essential as we do have helmets available to borrow, but you may be more comfortable in your own)
- Riding boots, small heel essential (we do have boots available to borrow but only short jodhpur boots)
- If you’re borrowing our boots I recommend bringing a pair of half chaps for some better leg coverage
- Jodhpurs or trousers you are comfortable riding in
- Plenty of light layers
- Waterproof coat and trousers
- Riding gloves

Top Tip!
Bring plenty of light layers you can add or remove as needed. It is true that we can have 4 seasons in a day!
Further Suggestions
Extras:
- Lip balm or salve
- Sunglasses
- Suncream
- A fannypack or small close fitting backpack to carry your essentials while riding
- A camera
- A baseball cap
- G type adapter for your phone charger
Top Tip
We all know that helmet hair is “a look”, but if you’re heading straight for some sightseeing after your ride, you may find a baseball cap a handy addition to your kit list! Dry shampoo can also be a saviour for a quick refresh before heading out for the evening.
Just a few more things:
- Bring your sense of adventure. We’re never too far from civilisation but lots of the fun comes from riding off the beaten path!
- If you could bring the sunshine with you, that would be great, thanks.
